You don't have to be Indiana Jones to have fun with archaeology. Marcus Brody had fun too. Arranging the Inca artifacts in an order of chronologies so they paired nicely with the Maya and Greek.

Museum sees you as a Marcus, responsible for sending Indy out to collect items from around the world and then hand them to you, so you can place them in a Museum that you are responsible for.

Yes, you don't actually own the Museum, your working for your patron, who donates a lot of money. So therefore, they want the displays to be centered around their loves of history. That doesn't mean that you can't put whatever you want or sometime, whatever you can get your hands on. But it does help if you can please them too.

Paying to get these precious items into glass cabinets is an expensive affair. You will have to place another magnificent item or items into a storage to be able to place the object you want on display. No historical object is lost as you can dig them out of storage later, as can the other players. They may have eyes on that "Arc of the Covenant." Or you could sacrifice some of your hard earned prestige to help with the cost.

Every item placed in the Museum will score you points and the game will end when the 50 point threshold is passed. Then all your items will score again, depending on their placement and whatever they are. You see, each item comes from one of twelve civilizations and placing more than three of them together in connecting rooms will score you points. Also they all belong to one of six domains, like agriculture, cosmology or warfare. And placing those domains in connecting rooms will also score you points. So making a nice display is paramount in making your Museum the most prestigious in the world.

This is a game that fits the family of game like Ticket To Ride and New York 1901, with it's ease of entry and simple set collection idea. Not to say that this game IS easy to play and win, there is an intriguing system that will keep your brain ticking over, even when it's not your turn. ​You'll be constantly tempted to take items from around the world, even when it's not your turn. But you'll be helping the active player!

The game is lavishly coloured and full of historical details that do not distract from the simple consents and game play. With many ways to snatch the victory away from another player, this is a game with bucket load of replay-ability. Especially for those of us that like revenge...
